  • Is there any chance we could install ImprovedTabbers under MediaWiki:ImportJS? (https://dev.fandom.com/wiki/ImprovedTabbers) There are some links and redirects that are supposed to use an anchor to open a certain tab on a page upon loading, and if the tab name has a space in it, it cannot direct to that tab. For example, https://magireco.fandom.com/wiki/Black_Friday_Campaign?redirect=no This redirect will not open the proper tab, and I'm hoping that ImprovedTabbers fixes this problem. I cannot verify that, but it fixes other problems with links and anchoring, so I'm hoping space issues are included.

It's possible the redirect has to be rewritten as Increased_Magia_Stone_Campaign#NA%20Black%20Friday since it converts it to Increased_Magia_Stone_Campaign#NA_Black_Friday, but I'm not sure without testing.

  • Hello, Founding admin. I noticed your new contributor's guide introducing some improved template formats. Good job on that.

There is just one thing that I always feel is missing from this quest documentation, and that is the passive and active skills of the enemies. I'm not saying that they always need to be documented, but there are times when people have tried to leave notes about bosses and their abilities. It would also be nice to know when a certain enemy type carries something like curse.

I have recently been experimenting with the old QuestSimple template to come up with a solution to this. You will find a ( ! ) symbol next to some enemy names in the documentation I made for NA's version of the Nanoha event. When you hover over it, it displays details about that specific enemy's skills in a tooltip. However, I realize this is not mobile friendly, and since I do not have admin powers to be able to use javascript to try to make a fancier way of displaying that works with mobile, I cannot make this way better and making the full text of the skills would take up to much room in a cramped space.

I have also been thinking maybe working on something so complicated is unnecessary. Perhaps, just one more table separate from the Questbody would suffice. Most common enemies in battles have the same skills, so copying it to all of them may just be more work than necessary. I picture a separate table with enemy names and their passive and active skills (Active skills also being accompanied by a frequency on how often they can use it). I will have to think a bit more on how to represent it in a template that would be flexible enough to accept multiple passive and active skills. So far, I have not seen more than 2 passives and 2 actives, but I'm not sure whether they ever go over that number, especially on those special one-hit buffed bosses.

Do you have any thoughts on this?

    • Hi, first of all, thanks for your hard work, you are doing an awesome job with the quests! Just gave you Content Moderator, you really deserved it.

I think putting the Skills into a separate table is the best choice, because it's the most mobile friendly (i liked the version that you put it next to the enemy names with this symbol ( ! ), but i like the separate table more.) Good job on the skills!

    • Eyyy, thanks a bunch!

I will fix the format up a bit before making it into a template. Potential word wrap makes it harder to read without separating each picture to their own columns and each skill to their own row. It should be similar to the Questbody format.

  • Hi hi o/ I was wondering if you had joined the magireco discord yet? I'd love to help with the development of the wikia but I had a bunch of questions about direction and such and would love to have an easy way to discuss it. Let me know and I can give you a link if nobody's already sent it to you~
